The Commission has also released the application process dates. Applications for these positions will begin on November 3, 2025, with the deadline set for December 3, 2025, at 5:00 pm. Candidates can apply online by visiting the Commission's official website, www.westbengalssc.com.
Regarding educational qualifications, candidates applying for Group C positions (such as clerks) must have passed a secondary or equivalent examination from a recognized board in India. To apply for Group D positions, candidates must have passed at least the eighth grade.
The minimum age for applying is 18 years, and the maximum age is 40 years. However, age relaxation is provided to candidates from reserved categories as per government regulations. SC and ST candidates will receive a 5-year relaxation, and OBC candidates will receive a 3-year relaxation.
Application Fee
General, OBC, and EWS category candidates will have to pay a fee of ₹400 for both Group C and Group D positions. For SC, ST, and differently-abled candidates, the fee is ₹150.
Selection Procedure
The selection process for these positions will involve a written examination. The Commission will release the exam date on its website later. Following the written examination, document verification and other formalities will be completed, after which eligible candidates will be appointed.
