Bollywood actor Urvashi Rautela, known for her fitness and glowing skin, maintains a clean and straightforward diet, according to her nutritionist Shweta Shah. In a recent podcast appearance, Shah broke down Rautela’s everyday meal pattern, highlighting her strong preference for home-style, light food and a consistent eating routine.

“She doesn’t eat a lot, and her meals are kept quite minimal,” Shah shared, explaining that despite the small portions, the diet is structured across three proper meals a day. One thing Rautela never compromises on is breakfast. Shah revealed that skipping breakfast is non-negotiable for the actor, and options like poha or upma are usually served to start the day.

Lunch and Dinner Routine
When it comes to lunch, Rautela prefers classic Indian food—typically roti and sabzi. The actor also relies heavily on one juice in particular. Mint and coriander juice is a staple in her diet and is said to be her top choice. According to Shah, this juice is rich in detoxifying properties and contributes to her skin’s natural glow while supporting digestion and boosting immunity.

Evening snacks are rarely included in her routine. Instead, an early dinner is encouraged, usually around 6 or 7 p.m. Shah noted that while it’s not strictly intermittent fasting, the timing helps in better digestion. For dinner, meals remain simple—items like paneer, parathas, vegetable rolls, or chillas are preferred.

Why Early Dinners Matter
Experts agree with the idea of eating earlier in the evening. Dr Meghraj Ingle, senior gastroenterologist at Gleneagles Hospitals in Mumbai, said early meals support better digestion, help reduce bloating, and align better with the body’s natural circadian rhythms. He added that light, non-spicy food at night can improve blood sugar control, cholesterol levels, and even reduce the risk of chronic illnesses.

He also emphasized mindful eating—focusing on hunger cues and eating just enough—which plays an important role in weight management and overall wellness.

Urvashi’s Personal Preferences
In an earlier interview, Rautela shared more about her food habits. She mentioned enjoying eggs and broccoli, or other green vegetables for breakfast. Her lunch often consists of South Indian meals or green vegetables paired with tofu or paneer, and dinner usually resembles her lunch choices.

She also admitted a fondness for certain fruits and indulgences—grapes, strawberries, and other berries top her fruit list, while lobster is her preferred seafood. Bhindi remains her all-time favourite vegetable. Among comfort foods, masala uthappam is a clear winner. She keeps her sleep routine to about five to six hours per night and consumes two to three cups of coffee daily.

Rautela’s approach to food—light, consistent, and early—is a reflection of how disciplined habits can play a role in both beauty and health.
