Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday made it very clear that India will not tolerate any " nuclear blackmail", and also said that Operation Sindoor against Pakistan have only been kept in abeyance.
Addressing the nation, PM said that the future action will strictly depend on Pakistan's behaviour. Islamabad had attacked 26 locations in India after New Delhi retaliated by targeting nine terror camps in response to the Pahalgam terror attack.
As many as 26 innocent people were killed in Kashmir's Pahalgam on April 22.
Modi said while Pakistan desperately called India DGMO to stop the military offensive, Indian Armed Forces considered it only after they promised to stop their misadventure.

"India will not tolerate any form of nuclear blackmail. We will take decisive action against terrorist bases operating under the guise of such threats. There will be no distinction between government-sponsored terrorism and terrorist organizations," he said.
Giving a stern warning to India's neighbour, Modi called out the Pakistan government for attending funerals of the terrorists killed in Indian strikes.
"The world witnessed the grim reality of Pakistan during Operation Sindoor, when top officials of the Pakistani military openly stood in solidarity with terrorists. This stands as the strongest evidence of state-sponsored terrorism," PM Modi said.

Just an hour ago, United States' President Donald Trump had said that Washington's intervention prevented a "bad nuclear war" between India and Pakistan, after the South Asian rivals agreed a ceasefire following a series of clashes.
"We stopped a nuclear conflict. I think it could have been a bad nuclear war, millions of people could have been killed. So I'm very proud of that," Trump told reporters at the White House.
However, Indian officials have stressed that the arrangement was negotiated strictly between New Delhi and Islamabad, in keeping with India’s long-standing position that all issues with Pakistan must be resolved bilaterally.
Meanwhile, PM Modi in his address reiterated that the Operation Sindoor is only halted for now and not ended.
"We have only kept in abeyance our operations against Pakistan, future will depend on their behaviour. Operation Sindoor is now India's new policy against terrorism, a new line has been drawn," the PM said.
Terming the Pahalgam attack as the most "barbaric face of terrorism", Modi said it was personal pain for him but the enemy has now realised the consequences of removing "sindoor" from the forehead of our women.
PM Modi said Operation Sindoor was not just a name but through it the whole world saw India's resolve turn into action and more than 100 dreaded terrorists were slaughtered in the Indian attack.
