Team India's star wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant has a chance to create history at Edgbaston. He is on the verge of joining the list of players like Sir Donald Bradman, Rahul Dravid, Brian Lara, Charles George McCartney, Warren Bardsley, and Daryl Mitchell.

Pant scored centuries in both innings of the first Test match played against England at Leeds. He became the second wicketkeeper to achieve this feat in Tests.
Pant will become the 7th player.
This was also Pant's second consecutive Test in England, in which he scored a century. Earlier, he played a quick innings of 146 runs in 2022. If Pant scores another century in the second Test of the current series, he will become the seventh player to score a century in three consecutive Tests as a visiting batsman in England.
Dravid has done this feat so far.
Rahul Dravid is the only Indian to achieve this feat so far. He scored three centuries in three Tests in the 2002 series. Daryl Mitchell was the last batsman to achieve this feat in 2022. Pant has a good record in England. He has scored 808 runs in 19 innings at an average of 42.52. During this, 4 centuries and 2 half-centuries have also come from his bat.
Scored centuries in both innings
In the first innings of the Leeds Test, Pant scored 134 runs off 178 balls with the help of 12 fours and 6 sixes. In the second innings, the wicketkeeper-batsman scored 118 runs off 140 balls. He also surpassed the legendary MS Dhoni by registering the most centuries by an Indian wicketkeeper in Tests.

Dhoni's record was broken.
Apart from Pant, KL Rahul, Yashasvi Jaiswal and captain Shubman Gill also scored centuries in Leeds. However, even 5 centuries could not save India and the team led by Gill lost to England by 5 wickets. The second Test of the series will be played at Edgbaston, Birmingham from July 2.
