Indore (Madhya Pradesh): To ensure prompt resolution of public grievances and to enhance the efficiency of the police, director general of police (DGP) Kailash Makwana launched a feedback QR code system during his visit to the city on Sunday.
Using this QR code, people can report police personnel’s behaviour and their experience with the officials at the police station. These QR codes will be installed at all police stations.
Makwana was in the city for a zonal review meeting wherein commissioner of police Santosh Kumar Singh, IG (Indore Rural) Anurag, additional CP (law and order) Amit Singh, additional CP (crime/headquarters) Manoj Kumar Shrivastav, SPs and other officials were also present.
While explaining the initiative, the DGP said that these QR codes would be installed at all police stations where the public interacted directly with the police.
People visiting the police station with their issues or complaints could scan the QR code and give feedback regarding police’s behaviour, the action taken on their complaint and their satisfaction or dissatisfaction at the police response.
The feedback would be received by senior officials and the monitoring cell at the police headquarters, where appropriate action would be taken based on the responses. The public could thus play an important role in improving police functioning by sharing their feedback, he said.
Meanwhile, keeping public interest and people’s concerns in mind, the Tejaji Nagar and Rajendra Nagar police stations under the Police Commissionerate’ zone-1 were awarded the ISO 9001:2015 certification for quality management and effective use of resources.
DGP Makwana presented the certificates to the respective police station incharges and congratulated them. He also awarded commendation letters to the officers/staff who played a key role and encouraged all to continue their dedicated efforts to ensure better policing.
