Patna: The row over RJD chief Lalu Prasad`s eldest son Tej Pratap Yadav revealing his 12-year long relationship with a woman, Anuskha Yadav, and his subsequent expulsion from the party and family took a curious turn on Tuesday when her brother vowed to protect her ‘honour’ at all costs, demanding Lalu`s intervention.
"It is a matter of privacy but few people are engaged in the character assassination of my sister, and so I have to respond to them. It involves a man and a woman and it would be better if they speak about it themselves,” Anushka`s brother Akash asserted.
Anushka`s brother, Akash Yadav who was once president of the RJD`s student wing, in a veiled warning to Lalu said that the latter should be ready for a ‘long fight’ if he did not settle the dispute arising due to Tej Pratap`s social media post. He claimed that Lalu took a decision to expel Tej Pratap from the party and family in a haste as it was not an era of Mughal-e-Azam, but an era of the constitution and democracy. “Why such an action taken against Tej Pratap? Whether he is a rapist?
“I would like to tell Lalu not to ruin his family under the influence of some outsiders. The outsiders have entered your house and are working to destroy your family. The result is before you. The man (Tej Pratap) who was working hard to make his brother (Tejashwi Yadav) the CM, has now been ousted from the party
RJD chief had expelled Tej Pratap from the party as well as from the family after he revealed, and posted pictures on the social media about his relationship with a woman on social media.
Both Tej Pratap and Akash are known for their long association. After Akash was sacked from the post of president of the RJD`s student wing, Tej Pratap even raised a banner of revolt against state party president Jagdanand Singh as the matter was settled following the intervention by Lalu. Akash is presently the president of the student wing of former union minister Pashupati Kumar Paras`s Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party (RLSP).
