The terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on 22 April shook the whole world. The terrorists shot 26 tourists on the basis of religion. The terrorist organization The Resistance Front (TRF), associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba, had taken responsibility for this terrorist attack. However, now the Indian delegation has presented evidence against TRF in front of the United Nations panel.
After Operation Sindoor, the Indian government is trying to expose Pakistan at the international level. In this connection, a delegation of the country has met the panel of the United Nations Security Council. If sources are to be believed, the Indian delegation has presented some evidence against the terrorist organization 'The Resistance Front' (TRF).
This panel of the United Nations Security Council works to impose sanctions on terrorist organizations. At the same time, TRF carried out the Pahalgam terrorist attack. After the attack, TRF took responsibility for it, but after the situation of war arose, TRF retracted its statement.
What is the work of this panel?
Talking about this panel of the United Nations Security Council, it is also called the '1267 Committee'. This panel has banned many terrorist organizations in the past as well. This list includes the names of many terrorist organizations including Lashkar-e-Taiba and Al Qaeda. Along with this, this panel also prepares a list of international terrorists.
Sanctions imposed on Lashkar-e-Taiba in 2005
The Indian delegation on Monday presented some documentary evidence related to TRF in front of the panel, which proves that TRF is a part of Lashkar-e-Taiba. The 1267 Committee declared Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) a terrorist organization in 2005 and imposed sanctions on three organizations including Pasba-e-Kashmir and Jamaat-ud-Dawa.
Lashkar-e-Taiba changed its name 27 times
Lashkar-e-Taiba has changed its name several times to avoid UN sanctions. The UN list includes 27 names of Lashkar-e-Taiba, which have been banned. At the same time, more than a dozen members of Lashkar-e-Taiba have been declared terrorists. Lashkar-e-Taiba leader Hafiz Mohammad Saeed is also present in this list.
Evidence presented against TRF
If sources are to be believed, India has already declared TRF as a part of Lashkar-e-Taiba in the United Nations. At the same time, on Monday, the Indian delegation has also presented evidence of this in the form of a documentary. However, whether the United Nations will also declare TRF as a terrorist organization or not? No reaction has come out on this yet.
