HBO have announced the return of a beloved character to Hogwarts - as Warwick Davis reprises his role of Professor Filius Flitwick in the new Harry Potter series.
He will be joined alongside new cast members, including Elijah Oshin as Dean Thomas, Finn Stephens as Vincent Crabbe, and William Nash as Gregory Goyle.
The series in 2027 on HBO and HBO Max where it’s available, and is written and executive produced by Francesca Gardiner.
It was previously announced that Dominic McLaughlin will play Harry Potter in the series, whereas Alastair Stout will play Ron Weasley. Elsewhere, Arabella Stanton will step into the role of Hermione Granger.

In further updates, it was also announced today that Sirine Saba would play Professor Pomona Sprout, Richard Durden would star as Professor Cuthbert Binns, and Bríd Brennan would be stepping into the role of Madam Poppy Pomfrey.
The announcement was made on Monday, as part of Harry Potter's Back To Hogwarts celebrations - in which fans mark the iconic return to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry every year on September 1.
Warwick was also seen playing the role of Griphook, a goblin employed at the Gringotts Wizarding Bank. In the new series, the character will be played by Leigh Gill.

The reveal of Warwick's role comes after original Harry Potter director Chris Columbus has questioned the motives behind the upcoming HBO series.
"As of yesterday, I saw photographs online of Nick Frost as Hagrid. Now, that’s not Nick Frost - that’s presumably still Martin, I don’t remember his last name - a rugby player who played Hagrid with a giant sort of fake rubber Hagrid head that we sometimes replaced with CGI," he said.
"So I’m seeing these photographs of, now it looks like Martin - I could be wrong - wearing a Nick Frost head, walking down the streets of London. And he’s wearing the exact same costume that we designed for Hagrid.
"Part of me was like, what’s the point? Part of me was like, okay, great. I thought everything was going to be different, but it’s more of the same, which is interesting."
The new Harry Potter series is expected to have seven seasons, with each season adapting to the seven books. Fans have a while to wait however, with the first season not expected to release until 2027.
