Another sensational case related to dowry has come to light in the Amroha district of Uttar Pradesh. 32-year-old trainee nurse Parul of Narangpur village was allegedly burnt alive by her husband Devendra, who is a constable, and her in-laws. Parul, who suffered severe burn injuries, has been referred to Delhi, where she is battling for her life.
The case of the murder of 26-year-old Nikki in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, is not over yet. The police is investigating, the state and national women's commission have sought a report. Four people have been arrested in this case. Meanwhile, another case of dowry-related violence has come to light from Amroha in UP. Here, too, a woman was set on fire.
The incident is being reported from Narangpur village of Amroha. Here, 32-year-old Parul was a trainee nurse. Her family members set her on fire. In this case, the police have registered a case against six members of the family, including a constable. The woman was so severely burnt that she was referred to Delhi.
It is alleged that Constable Devendra, posted in Bareilly, and his family members together tried to burn Parul alive. Parul's brother has filed a complaint in this regard, in which six people are named. The accused include Parul's husband Devendra, mother-in-law, and four relatives, Sonu, Gajesh, Jitendra and Santosh. Police said that all six accused are currently missing.
Parul's mother says that the neighbours informed her about this. When she reached, her daughter was writhing in pain; she was badly burnt. She was taken to the hospital; however, her condition was so critical that she was referred to Delhi. Currently, she is battling between life and death.
Devendra and Parul were married 13 years ago. They have twin children, a boy and a girl. Now the family alleges that Parul was being constantly harassed for dowry. Meanwhile, the news of her being burnt came to light, which wreaked havoc on the entire family.
