Coronation Street fans issue plea as they 'figure out' Becky Swain lie

Coronation Street viewers are concerned for Lisa Swain (played by Vicky Myers) as they feel she is being taken in by lies fed to her by her wife Becky Swain (Amy Cudden) who recently returned from the dead saying she had been in a witness protection programme. While Lisa's fiancé Carla Connor (Alison King) has confronted Becky about her story that she and the family are in danger from a gang who are "out to get" her Lisa continues to defend her.

Frustrated viewers took to X to plead with the copper to "open her eyes" when it came to Becky as she continued to cause tension for Lisa and Carla who have constant rows about her. "Lisa needs to start spying on Becky and discover her pact with Costello then she'll know Becky is lying," one wrote. "Surely to goodness Lisa realises that Becky is an accomplished liar," another added.

A frustrated third fan chimed in: "Lisa open your eyes you know Becky is lying."

"Lisa's supposed to be a copper and she can't see Becky's playing her, pathetic, Carla just walk away from her, her brat of a kid and her car crash of an ex wife," a fourth penned.

"Carla has Becky clocked, of course she's lying it's about time Lisa and Betsy woke up," a fifth shared.

Meanwhile a sixth opined: "Becky is not being hunted by some gang. She's a lying c***. However, I am strangely drawn to her evil ways."

In the latest episode Becky told Lisa her flat was being watched by two dangerous men and Carla made her contempt obvious.

"Extremely dangerous made up people," Carla scoffed. "You're a broken record," Becky shot back. "And you're a cuckoo in the nest love," Carla snapped.

Carla blatantly told her: "I don't believe it. Not a word of it." This caused Becky to storm out before confiding in her daughter Betsy (Sydney Martin).

She tearfully told the teenager Carla had been "so cruel" to her and that all she wanted was for Betsy and Lisa to be happy which led to further tension as Betsy confronted Carla and Lisa about their treatment of Becky.
