Former Emmerdale actress Daisy Campbell has made a triumphant return to prime time television, just months after her departure from the ITV soap where she played Amelia Spencer.
The 21-year-old actress portrayed Amelia from 2011 to 2024, having secured the role at the tender age of seven.
Amelia's exit from The Dales last year was intricately linked to the departure of villainous character Tom King (James Chase), in a major storyline.
After enduring months of distressing abuse, Tom was finally brought to justice for domestic violence against his wife Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) in December.
Young mother Amelia became romantically entangled with the manipulative Tom, who persuaded her to take his side against his estranged wife, reports Belfast Live.
Following Tom's conviction, Amelia chose to leave the village with her daughter Esther, seeking a fresh start away from the drama, marking Daisy's departure from the soap after a 14-year stint.
However, the starlet made a comeback to our screens on Sunday evening (June 28), securing a guest role in the BBC medical drama Casualty.
She took on the role of Georgina Birch, the daughter of Anthony Birch, who was receiving treatment at the emergency department. However, her newly-acquired driving skills proved to be less than perfect.
Georgina initially parked her father's sports car in an ambulance bay outside the hospital, but later in the episode, it is revealed that she has crashed his prized vehicle.
Daisy appeared dramatically different from her soap character, sporting facial piercings, streaks of pink hair, and dark attire.
Emmerdale enthusiasts were thrilled to witness Daisy Campbell's return to the small screen, with audiences swiftly flocking to social media to express their excitement.
One fan exclaimed on X: "Amelia Spencer appearing in casualty with goth style slay #Emmerdale #Casualty."
Another viewer humorously noted the difference between her Casualty appearance and her Emmerdale character: "That's not even the right road, hilarious. Amelia being Amelia #casualty."
A third chimed in buoyantly: "Heard Amelia, Daisy Campbell is on #casualty now #emmerdale."
An additional remark seen on Facebook mentioned: "Tonight's episode Georgie she was in Emmerdale played Amelia. Daisy Campbell".
Casualty is available to catch-up now on BBC iPlayer
