You would assume that London is packed with celebrities, with the likes of Tom Cruise, Ricky Gervais, and David Beckham all calling it home. However, there is a quieter market town in northern England which is home to plenty of BBC stars and even once to a Take That legend. Cheshire's historic market town of Knutsford is part of the Golden Triangle of Cheshire, which also includes Wilmslow and Alderley Edge. It's bursting with quirky shops, bustling eateries, and even bars owned by famous faces. Nestled just off the M6 at Junction 19, the town earned high praise from The Sunday Times last year, where they commented: "Smart with a heart, this posh market town has class from top to bottom."
So who exactly lives in Knutsford? There's plenty of showbiz in the town these days, with two celebrity-owned bars in the hospitality industry. Boyzone singer Shane Lynch and The Real Housewives of Cheshire star wife Sheena run the D13 bar on King Street.
In addition, Rachel Burden from BBC Breakfast also lives in Knutsford. Away from her career on screen, Rachel has a private life with her husband, journalist Luke Mendham, and reportedly resides in an 18th-century cottage with him and their children.
If you're looking for what the average price is to buy a home, it's not surprising that properties in Knutsford come with an eye-watering price tag. According to Rightmove, homes had an overall average price of £561,564 two years ago.
The majority of sales in the historic market town in 2023 were detached properties, selling for an average price of £804,190. Meanwhile, terraced properties are fetching £401,357, whilst semi-detached properties sold for an average of £450,609.

Overall, sold prices in the town of Knutsford in 2023 were 17 per cent up on the previous year and 18 per cent up on the 2020 peak of £477,458.
It is also believed that Take That frontman, Gary Barlow, once lived on Bexton Road in Knutsford and frequently visited restaurants in the town.
Meanwhile, if you pay a visit to Princess Street, you'll find a popular craft beer and gin bar named Dexter and Jones, which is run by Corrie star Adam Rickitt and his wife, Good Morning Britain presenter Katy Rickitt.
