Manchester United concluded their pre-season campaign with a 1-1 draw against Fiorentina at Old Trafford. There were plenty of positives for Ruben Amorim to take away, eight days before Arsenal are welcomed to Manchester.
A concerning opening goal only eight minutes saw Simon Sohm given the freedom of the penalty area to convert from a corner. However, United performed well after that early mishap and could have gone on to win the game. Leny Yoro's pressure at a set-piece prompted an own goal from Robin Gosens after Red Devils legend David De Gea was caught out.
The main attraction was the first Old Trafford outing for United's new signings. Ahead of kick-off, Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko were paraded in front of the fans for the first time. Mbeumo and Cunha started, with Sesko given the day off after completing his move from RB Leipzig this morning.

Altay Bayindir - 6
Bayindir could do nothing to prevent Fiorentina's goal, which was their only shot on target for a long time in the match.
Leny Yoro - 6
Yoro's pressure forced the own goal from Gosens. He was otherwise perfectly capable with his passing.
Harry Maguire - 6
Maguire may lose his place to a fully fit Matthijs de Ligt come the start of the season, but he's always an excellent option for United. He seemed to get attracted to the ball ahead of Fiorentina's goal, but the clever routine also caught out most of United's players.
Ayden Heaven - 7
Heaven will surely get plenty of game time this season. He's imposing, strong in the tackle, and excellent on the ball.
Amad Diallo - 7
Amad has sometimes struggled at right-wing-back but today he looked assured. He linked up extremely well with Mbeumo.

Patrick Dorgu - 7
Dorgu is going to have an excellent campaign. Having honed his attacking ability during pre-season, the January signing looks set to flourish on the left-hand side.
Bruno Fernandes - 6
Fernandes rounded off pre-season with an assist. The United captain played well, although there remain suspicions over his ability to play in a deeper midfield role.
Casemiro - 7
Casemiro had an excellent game alongside Fernandes. He was short and sharp with his passing, and prevented any of Fiorentina's dangerous attacks.
Bryan Mbeumo - 7
Mason Mount - 5
Mount should be worried if a centre-forward role is how Amorim sees his future. The England international struggled to get into the game, with Mbeumo and Cunha doing most of the good work around him.
Matheus Cunha - 6
Cunha showed glimpses of quality throughout the game. He linked up well with Dorgu.
Substitutes:Luke Shaw (for Heaven '73) - 6
Matthijs de Ligt (for Maguire '73) - 6
Kobbie Mainoo (for Casemiro '73) - 6
Diogo Dalot (for Mbeumo '74) - 6
Manuel Ugarte - (for Mount '84)
