Quality Street and Heroes fans can snap up 550g tubs for less than £5 at two major supermarkets right now.

Both Asda and Aldi are selling the chocolate favourites for a bargain price, allowing shoppers to snap up a cheap deal before Halloween, or stock up in time for Christmas. The 550g tubs come packed full of all the classic sweet treats that are ideal for sharing with trick or treaters on Halloween, or with family and friends over the festive period. Quality Street has long been a firm-favourite among shoppers and includes an assortment of individually wrapped milk and dark chocolates, toffees, and fruit cremés, including strawberry delight, chocolate toffee fingers, the famous Green Triangle and The Purple One. For Cadbury fans, Heroes tubs contain a selection of chocolate classics including Dairy Milk, Dairy Milk Caramel, Twirl, Wispa, Eclair and Crunchie.

The 550g Quality Street tubs are currently cheapest at Aldi, where shoppers can snap one up for just £4.39 - 3p cheaper than at Asda where the same size tub costs £4.42 each.

Aldi beats Asda on price again for the 550g tubs of Heroes which cost £4.89 and £4.92 respectively - a difference of just 3p.

Elsewhere, shoppers will have to pay more than £5 for the tubs at other rival supermarkets, with Sainsbury's, Morrisons and Tesco all selling Heroes 550g for £7 each.

Tesco shoppers who have a Clubcard can reduce the price by 25% down to £5.25, but this is still more expensive than both Aldi and Asda, even with the loyalty card discount.

As for Quality Street, the 550g are priced at £7 each at Sainsbury's and Morrisons, while Tesco is selling the same size tub for £6.

But Tesco does have a good deal on 750g Quality Street tins at the moment. These are priced at £12 each but Clubcard shoppers can snap one up for just £8, making a £4 saving. By comparison, the only other major supermarket currently selling the 750g tin is Morrisons where it is priced at £13.

But while shoppers can enjoy a bargain price on the popular chocs, Quality Street tubs have shrunk in size this year with 50g lost from the weight, taking the tubs from the previous 600g down to 550g.

It's not the first time the tubs have shrunk as the weight has gradually dwindled down over the years from 780g in 2015 to 650g in 2021. Nestle has previously said tub sizes have reduced due to the rising cost of manufacturing and ingredients.

A spokesperson for Nestle said: "Each year we introduce a new Quality Street range with formats, sizes, weights and RRPs based on a range of factors including the cost of manufacturing, ingredients and transport and the preferences of our customers and consumers.

"We think our 2025 range and pricing is competitive with a good variety of choice for Quality Street fans. Final prices are at the discretion of individual retailers."
