Prince Harry's team has angrily denied being behind the leak of a secret "peace summit" between senior aides to the Sussexes and King Charles. Details of the private talks - including the location, timing and nature of the meeting - appeared in the Mail on Sunday after the participants were photographed on a club terrace.
The leak has triggered fresh mistrust on both sides, with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry understood to have insisted it was not their doing, according to the Daily Telegraph. A source close to the Duke said the images appearing on front pages were a disastrous start to what was meant to be a quiet step towards reconciliation. The meeting, which involved the King's communications secretary and Prince Harry's new US-based PR chief, was described as an "informal drink" rather than a formal negotiation. Buckingham Palace has declined to comment.
