Tom Brady may be known as the greatest quarterback of all time, but on this Mother’s Day, he reminded the world that being a father and son is where the real heart of his legacy lies. Following intense scrutiny over comments made during his Netflix roast, Brady chose vulnerability and grace in a heartfelt tribute to the women who’ve shaped his life—including exes Gisele Bündchen and Bridget Moynahan .

Tom Brady opens up about the emotional toll of his Netflix roast on his children
In a recent appearance on the Impaulsive podcast with Logan Paul, Brady admitted that the Netflix special had unintended emotional consequences for his family. “I do understand that, for my kids, it was really hard… There are some things, as a parent, you f— up and you don’t realize until after. We’re not perfect parents,” he said candidly. His remorse was raw and real—a side of Brady not often seen under the stadium lights.

He continued, “I’ll never forget when I talked to my kids the next day. I felt like a stake through the heart. And understandably.” That experience served as a catalyst for Brady to refocus his energy on what matters most: his children and the mothers who helped raise them.

A meaningful Instagram tribute that honors all the moms in his life
On Mother’s Day, Brady shared a thoughtful Instagram post that included touching snapshots of his mom Galynn Brady, his three sisters, and the mothers of his children—Bridget Moynahan and Gisele Bündchen. “Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible moms I’m so lucky to have in my life,” he wrote.

The inclusion of both exes speaks volumes about Brady’s commitment to healthy co-parenting. His message reflects not just respect but gratitude for their roles in raising his children, Jack, Benjamin, and Vivian.

Perhaps the most heartfelt part of Brady’s message was reserved for his mother. Diagnosed with breast cancer in 2016, Galynn fought through chemo and still showed up to Super Bowl LI for her son. “Happy Mother’s Day to the strongest and most inspiring woman I know… Your love is the foundation of our family,” he shared, adding, “We’re endlessly grateful for everything you’ve done and everything you continue to be.”
