Chilling new footage appears to purportedly show the assassin who fatally shot US President Donald Trump ally Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University dodging across a rooftop just moments after pulling the trigger on Wednesday.
The grainy clip was filmed from inside a campus building directly behind the tent where Kirk was speaking. More than 3,000 people who had gathered for Kirk’s “Prove Me Wrong” debate can be seen diving for cover as chaos erupted in the quad.
But above the frantic crowd, a small, dark figure can be spotted rising on a rooftop across the courtyard — before darting swiftly out of view.
In a separate video recorded earlier in the day, what appeared to be the same dark shape could be seen lying prone atop the very same building, prompting puzzled onlookers to question what they were seeing.
“There’s somebody on the roof right there,” one voice says off-camera. “He just ran from over there, ran in, now he’s right there.” Moments later, the fatal shot rang out.
Kirk, 31, was in the middle of answering a question about mass shootings by transgender suspects when a bullet struck him in the neck. Graphic audience video shows the conservative commentator slumping lifelessly in his chair as blood gushed out. His security detail scrambled to his side, dragging him from the stage and racing him off campus.
He was pronounced dead minutes later, his team confirmed.
Meanwhile, police dispatchers frantically attempted to locate the gunman. Two men were briefly taken into custody near the scene but were quickly released after being cleared. Authorities say the search for the rooftop shooter is ongoing, and investigators are poring over multiple video angles to verify the chilling rooftop figure.
The assassination, executed in broad daylight before thousands of witnesses, has stunned the political world and left a furious crowd of students, parents, and supporters demanding answers.
